I made it through my first week of classes! So far so good. I had my first quiz on Friday and it was kind of hard, so we'll see about that. But enough about schoooollll.....haha.
Thursday night we had our wine tasting class which was very interesting. I can show you all how to be a classy wine-taster. Haha. It's really a very easy process, but I think it takes practice to actually be able to pick out the fragrances, etc. I'm bringing a couple of my favorites back with me so hopefully when I return I'll be able to make an authentic Spanish meal and we can enjoy it with the wine. :) I miss our family dinners and Mom's food!!! We've been cooking up a storm here though, so I should come back a better chef.
Last night was a late night, but much different than the other nights we have gone out. Our RA Laura took us out last night to some local bars. We went to a small Cuban bar that had great Mojitos and Caprinas. Then we went to a bar that Laura calls "el Bar de los altos" which mean the Tall Guys Bar because there are tons of tall Spaniards there - I think she said that they are basketball players. It was nice to be in non-touristy places and actually out with the locals. The hard thing is staying out that late. My roommates just woke up and its past 1:30pm. So it hits you. Now everyone is up and we're going to go take the Bus Turística around the city. Apparently you can get on and off the bus as much as you want and get discounts off of entrances into museums, etc. So I have to get going. I miss you all very much. Hope you are having a great weekend and congratulations to Matt on moving out on his own! Love you.
